Life

Each step of life is a journey that you choose to walk.

Each moment of life is another line, sentence, paragraph and chapter of the book called your life.

Enjoy all that life has to offer, good friends, good food, good coffee and as always wisdom and a good laugh.

How to treat others

is an age old question. I don't really know why, the Bible tells us in many ways how to treat one another & how to work through conflict. One of my favorite verses on the matter is Matthew 18:15.

Matthew 18:15; “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over."

There is much that we can learn from this one verse. The first is to not talk about the conflict with anyone else UNTIL you speak to the one that you have a conflict with. It does not matter if it's hurt feelings, or they stole from you, or you may feel as though they just wrong you in some way...do not speak about the situation to ANYONE until you speak to that person. I honestly believe that this one action alone could stop a lot of negative repercussions.

The second lesson we can learn from this verse is to not speak in anger. Present your case to the one who is involved and give them time to process the situation from your point of view, listen to their point of view and allow forgiveness to take place. Again...if we were to just take time to understand where the other person is coming from there would be a lot of situations diffused before they got out of hand.

Maybe you aren't ready yet to approach the person who you feel has wronged you. Pray about it and allow God to work not just on the "other person" but on you as well. You may just find that you were at fault or that maybe you could have dealt with the situation in a different or better way. None of us are perfect, but we have a perfect Saviour who can make a wrong situation right.
