From the heart

Ephesians 2: 8-10: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

As I read this passage of scripture this morning I was reminded of just how much God loves us. He created us, to worship Him to be his greatest creation. As I read this again my heart broke. What did we do? To be separated from our Creator, from God is a pain that we don't realize is there until we come to Him.

I am still in awe at His act of Love. To Love us so much that He came and gave Himself up as a living sacrifice, just to show us that He wants us. I can never be good enough or love enough to "earn" my way to eternal life in the presence of God, but He loves you and me enough to allow that very opportunity, eternal life with Him.

Been sick

and I hate being sick. It took a week to get over my sinus infection. I am pretty much over it now, but I am still real tired. Back to joy of my life though. Starting next week I will be teaching a 6 week study on forgiveness. I just pray that God will use me to help someone in our group.

Football is going well. Thomas' team has won the past 2 games. He is really loving the game. I am very proud of him and I love that he is learning so much.

I hope that I will have more to talk about, but right now I am a bit scattered. Funny thing though...last night while trying to go to sleep I have 100 different thoughts running through my head...ideas, songs, random thoughts, things I would like to do, scripture that I want to incorporate into the Bible Study...so much and now this morning...nothing. Such is life. Have a blessed day.

End of another...

week and I am not real sure where it went. Again this week was filled with activities that took a lot of evening time. I love that my kids are so active, and most days it's fun, but this week both Mike and I have been sick. That has made getting things done even harder. Not to mention that last week I managed to lose my drivers license and bank card. Oh my! Well that has now been taken care of, but what a strange feeling not having an "identity" or even more...proving who you are. That was a predicament that I was not expecting to ever have to be in.

So that is the week in a nut shell...not much to say outside of me being sick. Oh yeah...Thomas' team "The Patriots" won their 2nd game last night. It was great!

I am able to...

breathe again! The craziness of the past week is now behind me and as much as I loved everything that I did, it was still a bit too hectic for me. So to recap...

Football is now half way through the season and Thomas really seems to enjoy playing the game.

The spaghetti fundraiser for Karate 4 Christ was a success on Friday night. Over $800 was raised for the mats. I'd say that's not bad for a first time fundraiser.

Speaking of karate, that is going very well. I am enjoying the classes every week and hope to get better. The kids love it too and I'm so glad that we have this activity to do together.

The beach concert was a HUGE success!!! I enjoyed every moment of the concert this year and it was great to meet Mike from Above the Golden State and I really enjoyed spending time with my friends, Sidewalk Prophets. I got to know Kutless better during the concert and it was great. Nothing is greater than getting to know those that you'll be spending eternity with and it's always refreshing to know that who they are during the "show" is who they are behind the scenes. I have a deeper respect for all of the bands that were here over the weekend.

So now that the "crazy" week is over I can now look at what is next. Yes...there is always a next. I have been preparing a study on forgiveness. It will be a 6 week study and I am really looking forward to this lesson. I believe there is still so much to learn about forgiveness and how to forgive.

So as for now...I feel calm and I am ready to "BE" rather than "DO".

Have you ever...

had a day that all you wanted to do is scream and go back to bed? Well I am having one of those days, but not because it's a bad day, just too much to do day. I am sitting here thinking about all that must be done & it's crazy. Track for the morning, record a new spot, phone interview and then lunch w/ a potential new business supporter...all before running to the island to drop off my beach fliers and going to the store to pick up much needed food before the kids get home from school! I'm not sure I have enough time to do it all & to be very very honest...I don't want to be "Super Woman"!

I know I do this to myself a lot of times, but then when "things" happen it's like OH! here's something else! Now what? So I have to turn my inward despair into outward prayer. So I am praying today that God will totally take over and guide my every step. I know that I know it will all work out, but the anxiety seems to be a bit much at the moment.

OK...time to track...praying that time works for me not against me.
